Get Paid For Your Filmmaking Skills

Hey there!

I’m a video producer and I’m looking to connect with a local videographer (ie: someone who loves the craft of filmmaking) to help me with upcoming projects in the New Jersey area.

I love working with video clients and lately I’ve discovered I enjoy spending more of my time on the Producing side of projects.
I’ll handle the negotiations and sales to get the rates we need so we can fulfill the work.
I’ll also deal with the clients all the way to project completion, and I’ll handle the back-end and contract side of things so you can focus on doing what you do best as a shooter.

Simply put, if you don’t like selling or you don’t feel comfortable chasing down new clients all the time but you kick ass at your craft, then cool! Let’s combine our strengths and start winning together!

Ideal Candidates are those who are either already shooting video and who understand what it’s like to work on-set with corporate clients.
I’m looking for someone that wants to bring on additional work through the year - OR - if you’re great at shooting video and work a job but can dedicate some hours to earn extra money doing what you love, that’s cool with me too!

I need someone who’s good with people and who likes to have fun while making professional and creative corporate video projects because at the end of the day if we
can’t have fun together what’s the point?

Who this is not for:
- Someone who is just starting out and is [‘learning how to shoot’] / [‘learning how to shoot and edit’] to find a way to get paid while building your demo reel. You MUST know how to [shoot] / [shoot and edit] in order to be eligible for this gig.

- If you’re looking for a full-time salaried position, this isn’t going to be the right fit at this stage in my business.

- People who are unable to work with others. I mean, let’s face it - you’d be working with a client I land and if you can’t socialize, be friendly, or help them relax so they can be comfortable on camera, it’s not going to work. A lot of my clients are busy business owners who are new to being on camera. It’s easy for them to over-think this at times.

Your main job (outside of capturing high quality audio and video) is to help make them feel comfortable, confident, and be their best self.

So let’s talk about the money side of things.
Rates can vary, depending on your skill and what you bring to the table, though I wanna make a commitment to pay a minimum of $50 an hour for videography (with a minimum of 4 hours of paid time) so you can see I’m not out to low-ball you with some stupid offer
around “do the work for your reel or IMDB credit” or some stupid “I’ll pay you $100 for my passion project” that takes 80 hours of work, or any other junk like that we see people post when trying to hire us filmmakers.

Most of these projects are “talking head” style videos with some supplemental B-Roll and shouldn’t take more than 4 to 6 hours to light, shoot the interview, and capture compelling B-Roll.
Preference will be given to those with their own gear.

If This Resonates With You Respond To This Classified Listing With:

- Up to 3 samples of work that show your ability to capture clean audio and shoot good video! [ Preferably Talking Head Interviews]

- A list of the gear you shoot and capture audio with.

- Answer the following question, “What is one of your favorite memories in the past 12 months, it doesn’t have to be film related, and why?’
